Simien Park Hotel is probably one of the only good hotels in the city. We visited multiple hotels but they were all very dirty and too expensive. The room in Simien Park Hotel was clean and we had hot water, but the service was really bad. First of all, we came during the low season (August) and it costed 700 Birr to rent a room while we paid an average of 300 Birr in every other parts of Ethiopia and we had to negotiate a lot to have the breakfast included. The manager was rude, not helpful, and clearly increased the price because we were two foreigners. I don't recommend to stay there but I have to admit that it was the only decent place in town.
