8 Days Naivasha-Mara- Amboseli -Nairobi Budget Safari

Overview

Kenya offers seemingly endless opportunities for an adventure. Ever watched National Geographic and seen acres and acres of savanna lands? Ever wondered how the lions, wild beasts, crocodiles, and zebras live in the same vicinity? Well if you wish to have a first-hand experience of this scenario, a visit to Masai Mara National Reserve is imperative. Stretched along the Tanzania border adjacent to the Serengeti, Masai Mara National Reserve is one of Kenya’s oldest and most beloved safari destinations—an expanse of nearly 600 square miles where the event of the wildebeest migration is something you wouldn’t want to miss. Experience the culture, the biodiversity, and the local nomadic tribes. Experience the Unknown only in Kenya.

Itinerary

Masai Mara

The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.

Day Itinerary

Departing from the capital of Kenya, Nairobi, we drive down the escarpment via the floor of the scenic Great Rift Valley. We arrive at Masai Mara Game Reserve in time for lunch in the afternoon. At 4 pm we take our first thrilling game drive in the Masai Mara Game Reserve, one of East Africa’s top safari destinations. 6 Pm return to the lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Overnight: Julias’s river Camp

The camp is conveniently located on the banks of the Talek River, just next to a major wildebeest crossing point. With the river as the only physical boundary between the park and the camp, it offers excellent game viewing.

The camp décor and architecture is intentionally simplistic in nature, with semi-permanent grass thatched bandas fitted with tents – flash toilets and hot shower bathrooms en-suite – and a deck for outdoor sitting. The food is a fusion of African and International cuisines prepared and presented in a unique African style. Kichakani Camp does not miss to capture the romance of safari
