Nairobi

Situated in along the Nairobi River in beautiful Kenya, the capital of Nairobi is East Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. It serves as an excellent starting point for African safari trips around Kenya. Nairobi is Africa’s 4th largest city and is a vibrant and exciting place, and although it has developed a reputation which keeps tourist visits brief, there are some fascinating attractions: its cafe culture, unbridled nightlife, the National Museum, the Karen Blixen Museum and most notably just 20 minutes from the city centre wild lions and buffalo roam in the world’s only urban game reserve. Make sure you pay a visit to the elephant orphanage operated by the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi in the morning; You will be met after clearing with immigration formalities and our driver will pick you up in our safari vans and drive you to your hotel for check-in and overnight

Day Itinerary

After an early breakfast drive to the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch (150 km). With over 400 species of bird, this freshwater lake is a birding paradise. Along the lake ’ s fabled waters, we are bound to see some of the area’s more intriguing species—hippos, giraffes, buffalo, and even the arboreal colobus monkey. Lake Naivasha lies in the Great Rift Valley and the name derives from the local Maasai name Nai’posha, meaning”rough water” because of the sudden storms which can arise. Rest of the afternoon at leisure or choose from a selection of optional excursions including guided walks with naturalists or boat rides. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Nakuru

Nakuru is a city on the shores of western Kenya’s Lake Nakuru, within a reserve that sprawls across almost 200 square kilometres. It is the capital of Nakuru County, located in the Great Rift Valley. Ten kilometres from town lies the massive Menengai Crater. A hiking trail leads up to the rim of this ancient caldera, offering bird’s eye views over the lake and surrounds then plunges 400 metres down to the floor below, where you will find ancient forests. Lake Nakuru National Park, surrounding Nakuru, is home to exceptional birdlife, as well as over 50 varieties of mammals. These include lion, leopard, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, rhino, antelope and various primates.

 

Day Itinerary

Lake Nakuru National Park is a 1-hour drive from Naivasha. In the morning you will depart with packed lunch boxes and enjoy the day at the Lake and an afternoon game drive in the park. Lake Nakuru is famous for a large variety of games that can be found in the Park including the introduced Rothschild’s Giraffe, Black andWhiteRhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and many species of plains game. There are approximately 400 other species of birds found there. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Masai Mara

Enjoy breakfast at the camp then check out and proceed for more game viewing before departing the Masai Mara with a lunch stopover at Narok town. Amboseli National Park

Located in the southern reaches of Kenya, the Amboseli National Park is renowned for its excellent variety of wildlife such as Masaai giraffe, elephant, lion and cheetah and not surprisingly it is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The landscape of Amboseli is dominated by the majestic snowcap of Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as open plains, acacia woodland, swamps and the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok. The birding is excellent, especially closer to the lakes and swamps. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to large herds of elephants among other wildlife species.
