Amboseli National Park

Located in the southern reaches of Kenya, the Amboseli National Park is renowned for its excellent variety of wildlife such as Masaai giraffe, elephant, lion and cheetah and not surprisingly it is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The landscape of Amboseli is dominated by the majestic snowcap of Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as open plains, acacia woodland, swamps and the massif of Ol Doinyo Orok. The birding is excellent, especially closer to the lakes and swamps. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to large herds of elephants among other wildlife species. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai people and soak up spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

Day Itinerary

Pick up from the Airport in the morning by our Driver Guide, Enjoy a drive to Amboseli National Park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape and open plains. Arrive in time for lunch, check in at your preferred Lodge/ Camp, have lunch and a short rest.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive at the Park, later Dinner and overnight at the Lodge/ Camp.

Kibo Safari Camp is only a 4 hours drive away from Nairobi city and with the newly built tarmac road from Emali to Loitoktok, you are sure to get here comfortably. It is 15km away from the Amboseli airstrip and a five minutes drive from the park gate.

Day Itinerary

Enjoy an early morning game drive return to camp for breakfast, after breakfast enjoy a full day at the park with packed lunch.

Search for popular Residents like the well-known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, and Hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Later return to your camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.
