Aberdare

Situated in the magnificent Aberdare Highlands, northeast of Nairobi, Aberdare is an amazing highland safari area featuring mountains, lush forests and steep ravines teeming with the best of Africa’s varied wildlife including the majestic elephant and rhino. This area is made up of the Abedare Mountain Range, which forms part of the eastern side of the Great Rift Valley as well as a vast savanna covered moorland plateau. The sheer natural beauty of Abedare has placed it on the UNESCO World Heritage list and draws visitors from all corners of the globe.

Day Itinerary

Meet our team outside the customs and immigration halls. Get briefed on your safari and introduced to your driver-guide. Depart with your private safari minibus and driver-guide towards the Aberdare National Park. On arrival, check-in followed by lunch. In the afternoon, proceed to ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK for an afternoon game drive.Dinner and Overnight at selected Lodge

The Aberdare Country Club, only a two and a half hour drive northeast from Nairobi, is nestled on a slope of Mweiga Hill in the Aberdare Highlands, part of the Great Rift Valley. This captivating site was the homestead of an English couple that decided to settle in Kenya. Almost a half century later, their home, “The Steep”, was renamed the Aberdare Country Club and opened for guests. Considered a heritage property in Kenya, The Aberdare Country Club has retained the charm of a private home with the simple comforts of a country inn.

Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is the highest of the Great Rift Valley Lakes and despite having no outlet, it is one of only two Rift Valley freshwater lakes. This beautiful lake is fringed by papyrus and acacia trees, a unique geologic landscape and supports a vast array of over 450 bird species. It serves as the main drinking hole for wildlife in the area such as zebra, eland, hippo, waterbuck, buffalo and much more. Visitors can look forward to excellent game viewing, intriguing night safaris, boating excursions around the lake as well as to Crescent Island for spectacular bird watching opportunities. Other popular activities include: guided nature walks, horse riding, village visits and tours to neighbouring national parks.

Day Itinerary

Breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart to Lake Naivasha. Arrive at your Camp/ Lodge in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon relax at the hotel.(Optional Activities) Visit the crescent island sanctuary for a 2- hour walking safari (no predators here), 1- hour boat ride on the lake or visit the Crater Lake (Boat ride Payment direct).Dinner and Overnight at selected Lodge/ Camp

Overnight: Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp

Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp is located on the shores of Lake Naivasha at the heart of the Kenyan Rift Valley and only a few minutes drive from Nairobi. The camp is constructed using canvas and has a capacity of 20 luxury tents. The tents are well furnished, have wooden floors, ensuite bathrooms with toiletries and adequate space generously created to allow free movement inside and outside at the guest’s comfort. Complimentary breakfast is offered at the luxury tent, and there is also a swimming pool for fun and relaxation.

Masai Mara

The Masai Mara together with Tanzania’s Serengeti form Africa’s most famous wildlife park, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The image of acacia trees dotting endless grass plains epitomises Africa for many, then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further. The undeniable highlight of the Masai Mara National Reserve is undoubtedly the annual wildebeest migration traversing the vast plains of the Serengeti and the Masai Mara. It is known as the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than a million animals following the rains. Large prides of lions, elephants, giraffes, gazelles and eland can also be spotted in the reserve. Aside from horse riding safaris and traditional vehicle safaris, hot-air ballooning over the Mara plains has become almost essential.

Day Itinerary

After breakfast, drive to the wild famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge on time for lunch.After lunch, enjoy a PM game drive within the park. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe; over 450 species of animals have been recorded her.You might see Lions, Rhinos, Hippos, Crocodiles, Giraffe, Wildebeests, Zebras, Buffalo, Warthogs, Hyenas, and Jackals, Wild dogs,Buffalo, Leopard and a variety of antelopes. It is in the Mara that the most spectacular event of the natural wonders of the world takes place. Behind their heels are predators of the Savannah. This evening, enjoy a scrumptious dinner at your camp/ lodge.

Day Itinerary

You spend a full day in the Masai Mara on morning and afternoon game drives. On the game drive, OPTIONAL VISIT (payments direct)to local Masai Village is conducted. The trees in the distance might turn out to be a family of Giraffes. Those clumps of bushes a pride of Lions, and the rock that moves a Rhino lumbering out of your way. With diligence and some luck, you may encounter a family of Cheetahs, or a herd of Elephants crossing the path in front of you. Large animals are not the only entertainment – a family of warthogs may amuse you, running as fast as their little legs will carry them until they forget why they are rushing and stop to regroup
