Overnight in hotel La Villette

Drive from Antananarivo to Antsirabe, visit of the market on the way, the beautiful landscape of the Merina tribe area, the everyday life of the Merina people.

Stop for lunch in Ambatolampy and visit of the manufacturer of the pot made in aluminum. After lunch, take the road.

Arrived in Antsirabe and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Antsirabe Hotel. 

After breakfast, drive to Morondava, passing by Betafo and Miandrivazo.

Transfer to the airport for flight to Morondava.

Welcome at the airport and transfer to Kirindy.

Visit of Kirindy forest for 2h. Kirindy is a privately managed forest by a Swiss company dedicated to a selective and sustainable logging. It is the best place in the whole island to observe fosa, specially during the mating time between October and December. It is also home to lemurs.

Head to Bekopaka. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.

Full day visit the tsingy of Bemaraha

We will then start with the visit to the Small Tsingy, which will be preceded by a canoe ride across the gorge of Manambolo where some caves can also be seen there, provided that we respect some taboos.

Expedition of the Grand Tsingy, its height can reach 60 meters. Trekking with a local guide in the reserve tsingy of Bemaraha, pointed and sharp rocky formations of limestone, whose picks can reach up to 60m rise up from the ground. On some of these picks, you should see sifaka lemurs. All is very fascinating, especially the visit to the karsic picks and the exceptional vegetation growing in the deep canyons.

Return to Morondava

On the road, passing by to baobabs lovers and baobabs alley. Baobabs are usually solitary trees, standing tall and proud in the midst of empty spaces. Yet in Baobab Alley, they cluster together forming an avenue of columns that border the dirty road

You’ll be transferred to Morondava airport for your flight back to Antananarivo.

On arrival, a vehicle and drive-guide will remain at your disposal the whole day so you can enjoy a city tour. The capital of Madagascar is built on three levels, the higher town where you can find the remains Queen’s palace and other historical monuments, a panoramic view before the palace will offer you a large beautiful scenery of typical Merina houses with sharp roof, some very ancient built in wood, the middle and the lower town conserve until now its ancient colonial establishment with last decades architecture: presidential palace, the railway station, Pavillon market, and other news administrative quarters, Anosy lake, flowers ‘Market, handcraft market….
